U.P. Wilderness Connection is the connection that the Upper Peninsula needs to find information about outdoor sports and wilderness sports that are available in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Marquette, Houghton, Iron Mountain, Crystal Falls, and Iron County. U.P. Wilderness Connection provides a winter biathlon which consists of cross country skiing and shooting. They also provide a triathlon which is biking, kayaking and trail running. There is also a mountain bike race called Bear 'NN' Down. Also provided is the Nature's Way to Wellness Event in MI.

March 5, 2011 Costume Fling Best Costume - First Prize new pair of skis. Second Prize is a new pair of snowshoes.

March 13, 2011 BlackPowder Snowshoe Shoot.  Shooting targets with Black Powder rifles and pistols.

June 11, 2011 - Bear Scat Triathlon Adventure Race - Biking, Kayaking, Running

Trout Fishing is available May-September.  Walleye, Pike are available May-March and other types of fish are also plentiful year round!
